Welcome

Rendezvous Kitchen is a place to gather and connect. Through food, stories, and gatherings, I want to nourish and inspire you here, as your second home. I’m so glad you’re here.

Books

My books explore food, culture, and personal reflections. Accidental Chef shares my newbie path into the kitchen, Canadian Vegan Recipes in Japanese shares my love of Canada, and most recently, Rendezvous, is a deeply personal reflection on love, loss, identity, and belonging.

The cover of Rendezvous features photographs of the Ishii family and sections of photographs of a map of Rendezvous Island, and photographs of the scenery of the island (rocks, view from the water)
The cover of the book the Accidental Chef features a white plate on a whitewashed wooden table with red sparkly hearts.
The cover of Canadian Vegan Recipes features a plate piled high with a stack of pancakes, topped with whipped cream, raspberries and blueberries, and maple syrup.

Rendezvous is a deeply personal reflection on love, loss, identity, and belonging.

Canadian Vegan Recipes in Japanese celebrates my love of Canada.

Food Made with Kokoro

I create food that is beautiful, delicious, and nourishing for the body, mind, spirit, and planet. My approach is rooted in plant-based, whole ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible and made with kokoro(heart). Each dish is designed to engage the senses, balancing flavour and texture with unexpected combinations. I’m inspired by nature, art, and design, as well as taste memories from my childhood and travels across Canada and around the world. I believe adults need more delight and colour in their lives. My food reflects this. It’s surprising and comforting, inviting you to feel at home in new flavours.
